Split PDF File
Extract pages or split a PDF into individual files. Multiple output files are zipped automatically.
About Split PDF File
Splitting a PDF separates one document into smaller, more manageable pieces. This is necessary when you need to share only part of a document, extract a specific section for editing, distribute individual pages to different recipients, or reduce file size by removing irrelevant content before sending.
Romow's PDF Splitter offers three modes. All Pages splits the document into individual single-page PDFs packaged into a ZIP archive โ ideal for archiving scanned collections. Page Range extracts a continuous sequence into a single PDF: enter "3-7" to get one PDF containing pages 3 through 7. Select Pages creates individual PDFs from specific non-consecutive pages: enter "1, 4, 8" to get three separate files.
The split uses qpdf's page extraction โ content is not re-rendered, so there is no quality loss and processing is fast even for large documents.
Real-world uses: extracting an executive summary from a long report, splitting a multi-month bank statement by month, separating a combined portfolio into individual project files, and extracting specific exhibits from a legal bundle.
